The Drink Stall

The drink stall is the most popular one in the canteen. There is always someone buying drinks from the stall at all times. Many different drinks are sold at reasonable prices at the stall.

Before school, many students buy hot drinks from the stall. The teachers also buy coffee and tea. During recess, everyone rushes to the drink stall. No one bothers to queue and the two stallholders have a hard time maintaining order. Some students have even slipped away without paying for their drinks. The most popular drink is the bottled chrysanthemum and barley that the stallholders make themselves every morning. It is not too sweet and it can be drunk either warm or cold. It costs only eighty cents a bottle. It is sold out after recess every day. The students find it even nicer than the ones from the vending machine. Students who return the empty bottle will get twenty cents back. By the end of recess, many empty bottles are piled in an empty cardboard box in front of the stall.

The owners of the drink stall have promised to sell more items. They are not allowed to sell carbonated drinks to the students so they have decided to sell yogurt and milk instead. The students cannot wait.
