Dear Shubham,
I am really very sorry that I could not keep my appointment with you last evening. I promised to call on you at 7 p.m., but I couldn’t keep my word. I hope you will excuse me when you know the reason.
Yesterday when I was getting ready I had a telephonic message that my younger sister had met with an accident. I was so much upset that I could not think of anything at that moment. Immediately I hired a taxi and reached the spot. As she was lying unconscious, I took her to a nearby hospital. Dr. Rana dressed her well and assure me that she would soon get well. I brought her home at about 9.30 p.m. Under these circumstances, it was impossible for me to come. I am sure you will excuse me for this unavoidable absence.
