One should not be greedy

 

Veer Singh was a minister and was very close to the king. He was very greedy. One day, the king told him, “I will give you as much land as you could cover in a day.” Early next morning, Veer Singh mounted his horse and rode fast. Without caring for heat, thirst, and hunger, he kept on riding. Till the afternoon, the horse couldn’t stand anymore, it fell down and died. But Veer Singh didn’t stop. He started running as fast as he could. At last, he fell down of tiredness. He uttered, “Wish I had not been so greedy,” and died the next moment.

Moral: One should not be greedy.
