A letter to your mother that you will come home for a week, and bring a friend with you
My Dear Mother,
I feel so happy to think that in another week I shall be with you again on a holiday. Our Dashera holiday start on the 28th of October. Our college will re-open on 6th of November. I shall leave this place on the 28th and shall be reaching home the following day. The train will arrive at Dehradun sometime in the afternoon. I shall be happy if either you or papa meets me at the station.
I shall be able to stay at home only for seven days. My friend Bhawana will also come with me. She is an intimate friend and class fellow of mine. She is very gentle and well-behaved. She is smart and active. She is intelligent and hard-working. The teachers regard her as the best student of the class. I love her very much. I am sure you will welcome her, as you have always welcomed my friends.
Here in the hostel we get good food, but there not are so many varieties as at home. It is always the same. Bhawana likes rice, curry and stuffed potatoes. While at home, we will like to enjoy these dishes. I will also take Bhawana to meet my friends, Shruti, Kritaka and others. We will enjoy a picnic in the company garden, or in the dak-bunglow on the banks of the canal. I am looking forward to having a pleasant time at home.
Please let me know as soon as possible, if this is all right. How are you all at home? How are Ajay and Monalika? Will they also come to the station? Ask them to wear their best dresses.
