The Times of India
This is in response to your article on child labor published in the Sunday edition of “The Times Of India” dated 09/08/2009. I would like to bring to your kind notice that contrary to what was mentioned in your article child labor is very much prevalent in our city.
You can see the innocent children at traffic signals selling flowers, at tea stalls delivering tea, at hotels scrubbing vessels, at embroidery warehouses weaving intricate embroidery. It is everywhere and yet we turn a blind eye to it and choose to pretend it does not exist.
I would like to request you to please write another article on child labor and this time make the effort to bring all these practices to light. Sincerely hoping you will oblige.
