The Class Party
It was the last day of school. Alex and his classmates were having a class party. They arrived early and put the bags of food in the classroom.
After assembly, the children went back to their classrooms. They suspected that something was wrong when they saw the classroom doors ajar. They had closed them earlier. Alex and his friends ran towards their classroom. They threw open the doors. To their horror, they saw all the bags of food on the floor. Noodles had spilt out of the containers. A few fish balls were rolling on the floor. A container of rice had overturned too. A metal container of fruit punch had toppled over. There was fruit punch flowing onto the floor.
The children were in tears. Their party was ruined. They picked up the food from the floor. As they were cleaning the mess, they heard a swishing sound. Then, two brown and white cats sneaked out from under the plastic bags. As quick as lightning, they ran out of the classroom.
The children realized what had happened. They were annoyed with the stray cats. There was not much food left for the party. They decided to cancel the party.
