A Food Fair
To celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of my school, we organized a food fair. Everyone contributed something to the fair. Even the principal was involved.
On the day of the fair, everyone arrived in school earlier than usual. There was excitement in the air. There were kiosks in the foyer and the car park. My friends and I had been allotted one of the kiosks. We were going to sell sushi. We had spent the whole week learning how to make it from my mother. We prepared our ingredients and got to work.
There were kiosks selling noodles, rice and hot dogs. Even our principal had a kiosk selling French toast. She could make sweet and tasty French toast. There were long queues at her kiosk throughout the day. Parents and students from the neighbouring schools had been invited to the food fair. They were very pleased with what we were selling. There was something for everyone. Everyone took the food to the canteen to eat. At the end of the day, all the food was sold out.
The food fair was very successful. We raked in a lot of money. Our principal decided to donate some of the money to charity. She told us that we would have another food fair next year.
