Newspapers mean different things for different people. For some, newspapers are their lifeline without which they cannot even possibly think of living. Through it they get the news from the world over. Some people keep cuttings of articles for future references whereas there are some who tear it into pieces after reading it. For an illiterate person newspaper is merely a paper for wrapping up articles.

It enhances national and international awareness about vital matter/issues of public interest and it also serves as a social reformer through its enlightening articles.
