Selfishness is a curse

A giant was proud of his beautiful garden. He did not allow children to enter in it and play there. He was too selfish to share his things and belongings with others, especially children, the real flowers on this earth. Once he went away for a couple of days. In his absence the children played in his beautiful garden. The giant came back and scared them and pushed them out of the garden. He even beat two or three tiny-tots.

Spring came. All the plants and trees outside the garden bloomed.. Inside, all the plants and trees were dry. Not a single flower bloomed. Trees looked bald and sere. Even the previous leaves turned death-pale. The giant was upset. He looked at the children playing outside his garden. At once a reality dawned on him. He realized that he was selfish, cruel and affection less. He had kept his possessions to himself only. He waved the children to come near him and begged them to play and enjoy in his garden or rather in their garden. Lo’ the moment the laughing children entered the garden, spring smiled on it. Plants and trees started blooming. With the very touch of the tiny-tots death-pale leaves became lush green. The giant danced with the children, hugged them and thanked them. He gave them a lot of eatables. A board with the words ‘Children’s Park’ written on it was put at the gate of the garden. Sharing gave bliss to the giant.

Moral: Sharing breeds joys.
