Write a letter to your father telling him all about a collision between the bus in which you were travelling to school and a country cart. Assure him that you were not much hurt.
Government High School,
August 20, 20XX.
My Dear Father,
You will feel upset to that on the 17th instant our school bus ran into a loaded country cart. As the bus turned a sharp bend near the school, a country cart came from in front. The bus driver noticed the cart just when the two were quite near each other. The bus driver applied the brakes and tried to stop it all at once. The cart driver got nervous and could not control the bullocks. The bus did come to a standstill but the cart ran into it.
There was a serious collision. The cart turned turtle. The load was scattered about. The bullocks of the cart and its driver were badly hurt. We received a terrible jolt. We fell off our seats and received minor injuries. I received a bruise on the head and a few scratches on the arms and legs. Thank God, no one except the bus driver was seriously hurt. The driver was removed to the hospital. The other wounded were rendered first aid by the school doctor.
Don’t worry. I am all right. The wounds have almost healed. I shall come home this Saturday. With best respects
