Write a letter to the Editor of a leading newspaper expressing your reaction to and concern over the recently organized dacoities in some parts of West Bengal.
Through your esteemed newspaper let me express our serious concern over the recently organized dacoities in some parts of West Bengal.
Newspapers flash news of dacoities, murder, arson, looting, etc. almost every day. In Kolkata, Salt Lake and suburbs dacoities are committed in broad daylight in banks, shops, and flats. Some housemaids, servants and employees act as informers. In Purba Medinipur, Paschim Medinipur, South 24 Parganas and other districts dacoits raid the houses at night and resort to looting, murder, arsos, and other types of violence. Often the incidents originate from political rivalries, family feuds, greed for power and money and such other causes. The criminals very often go scot-free. It points to the deterioration of law-and-order situations. Even in local and long-distance train dacoities are not infrequent. The culprits must be caught at any cost and exemplary punishment by the authorities and public resistance are absolutely needed; otherwise, the dark day’s barbarism are sure to come.
Will the authorities wake up before the situation completely goes out of control?
