The Dream of 21st Century

My heart bleeds at the sight of my beloved motherland. There is poverty, ignorance, widespread corruption at all levels. Dishonesty, hypocrisy, deteriorating law and order situation, weak physical health of the young people, diseases, unscrupulous politicians, greed for power and money… speak volumes of the abysmal conditions in our country. At times I totally lose hope, but when I see a poor child sitting under the lamp post and studying, I feel a surge of renewed hope, and confidence in the future of the nation Occasionally when I come across honest and hardworking men, I experience the silent revolution that is slowly spreading across the country. These are times when I dream of the 21st century. When a rosy vision of tomorrow comes before my eyes. I see a developed and prosperous India. There are education and enlightenment everywhere. People of all castes, creeds are living in complete harmony with unity, tolerance, goodwill, and understanding among themselves. The general awareness of today is indicative of the fact that the scientific temper has come to stay in India. People have discarded the corrupt and inefficient leadership They no longer believe in luxury-loving and money-demanding Godmen. They are now trying to persuade the noble, learned and efficient people of the society to become leaders. There are vitality and a sense of commitment in the people.
