The tall grey building comes alive every morning at 8 am. The bustle of the buses as they roll into the large school premises finally. The electric bell rings loudly through the loud speaker and minutes later there is silence as the school assembly begins. Bharitya Vidya Bhavan’s Shri Ramakrishna Vidhyalaya, is the name of my school. We have three thousand children studying from kindergarten to the twelfth standard. The school is – recognized by the Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE. It is built over 65 acres of land. We have two cricket grounds, two football fields, a volley ball court, two basketball courts, a yoga hall, table tennis hall and a throw ball court. Sports activities are encouraged amongst student. There are inter house and inter school events whose prizes are given away on the annual sports day each year.
Literary activities, inter school debate and essay competitions are held each year. The winners are felicitated on the annual day every year. Dance, skits and song items are organized very grandly on this day. There are 4 big laboratories one each for chemistry, physics, biology and computers. Laboratory periods are always full of fun with learning. We are given instruments for all lab work.
Socially useful production work-SUPW is another interesting class. Here extra-curricular creative activities are undertaken. Girls learn the art of making cards with bangles, mirrors and wall hanging items. Boys learn carpentry and electrical works.
Our teachers are very warm and kind hearted. Each student is given personal attention and care. On teachers day we have individual class plays and games. Later the teachers and students have matches in football, cricket and volleyball. I love my school and when I grow up I would love to teach here someday.
