Is The World Better off Without Science?

Science has always been a part of our daily lives. Ever since the day mankind began to eat, food, wear clothes or light a fire, science became a part of his life. Science is not pursued in laboratories only, it is an integral part of our existence. It is true that life before the advent of complex technologies was a much easier and leisurely one. However, it had its inherent dangers. There was no cure for minor ailments and people died because of small health problems. Advancements in science have always evolved to alleviate the sufferings of mankind. If it has caused grief, it’s because the hands which used it were corrupt and the minds who designed the system were diabolical. It’s the people who think of using science as a weapon of subjugation, instead of as a means of creating happiness No technology developed solely for the purpose of destruction has survived the test of time. On the contrary, the ways and means to bring peace and happiness have outlived their time frames of development. eg the electricity and the electric lamp. It is therefore not a matter of surprise that nuclear energy as a destructive weapon is being phased out and nuclear energy as a tool of health is being actively pursued.
