How to Cross A Busy Street

Traffic on the roads and streets of a city is growing rapidly. The number of vehicles that are added each year to this traffic is phenomenal. For a pedestrian to walk safely on the road has become next to impossible. Although over bridges and subways have been provided at almost all the busy intersections of the city yet some parts of the city remain without them due to various reasons. Crossing roads and streets in this place requires both the presence of mind and swiftness of feet. Before crossing the road you have to look left and right. Wait till the road or the street is relatively clear. Then swiftly run across the road. Once in the middle of it, look quickly to your left and right and then cross the rest of the road. At various traffic lights, a pedestrian light is also provided. A pedestrian has to wait for the correct signal before he crosses the road. Sometimes along with the light, there are zebra crossings. A person, therefore, has to cross the road only from the zebra crossing and when the pedestrian light is green. By constantly remaining on the left-hand side of the road and by following all the traffic rules of the pedestrians, you can safely cross the road. In case no light or rules seem to work, then use your agility and your presence of mind to cross the road.
