Fooling others may even harm you

Arindam and Rajeev were travelling on the upper and lower berths of the train respectively. When the travel ticket checker asked to show their tickets, clever Arindam showed only one ticket for the both. The checker asked to show the second one, but Arindam replied smilingly making the checker a fool, “One upon one is equal to one, isn’t it? I am on the upper berth and he is on the lower berth, and there is a slab of the berth in between us as a divider.” The ticket checker could not say anything and went away. After some time the checker returned while the two were sitting together on the lower berth. Now it was the checker’s turn. He said to them sincerely, “One and one is equal to eleven? Now pay for eleven tickets or enjoy jail.” They had no option but to pay for eleven tickets.

Moral: Fooling others may even harm you.
