10 Lines on ‘Holi Festival’

  1. India is a land of festivals. Holi is one of the most popular festivals one of them.
  2. It is observed on the full moon night of Phalguna. It marks the beginning of a new season.
  3. Now the winter ends and spring begins. It is a two-day festival. On the first night a bonfire is lighted. People gather around the fire and make merry.
  4. The next day morning the festival of Holi starts. People throw coloured water, balloons and coloured powder on each other.
  5. They beat drums and dance with joy. Their slogan is ‘Holi Hai’.
  6. Some people celebrate it in a dirty way. It should be stopped by the police.
  7. Holi reminds us of Bhakta Prahalad.
  8. Prahalad was a great devotee of God. But his father, a big demon, forbade him to remember God.
  9. The demon’s father tried to kill Prahalad by various means.
  10. One day he put Prahalad into a blazing fire. But by the grace of God, Prahalad came out of the fire alive and unscathed.
